Riesling and Grüner Veltliner thrive in the favourable microclimate of the slopes above the Danube. The weathered tertiary sandstone soil makes the great varietal character of the wines possible.
The abbey holds a significant portion of the classic Viennese vineyards at the foot of Leopoldberg and Kahlenberg in the Kahlenbergsdorf district.
