How to get there

Stift Klosterneuburg is easily accessible from Vienna, making it an ideal half-day or full-day excursion just outside the city.

By Public Transport

Take the S40 S-Bahn train from Heiligenstadt station (U4 – green line) toward Klosterneuburg-Kierling. From there, enjoy a pleasant 15-minute walk to the abbey.

Alternatively, take Bus 400 or 401 from Heiligenstadt station (U4 – green line) to the stop Klosterneuburg – Stiftsgarten. From there, it is a 10-minute walk through the gardens to the visitor entrance (Sala Terrena).

By Car

A short 10-minute drive from Vienna’s city limits via the B14 road brings you directly to the abbey.

Ample on-site parking is available. Parking tickets can be validated at the visitor reception for free parking (up to 4 hours).

Stift Klosterneuburg’s visitor areas are open daily, with seasonal schedules:

Summer Season (May 1 – November 15)
9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Winter Season (November 16 – April 30)
10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Closed: December 24–26 and December 31 – January 2
