St. Laurent Große Reserve 2011
This unique red wine comes from the oldest wines of Ried Stiftsbreite in the renowned Tattendorf redwine district. The alluvial soil found in Ried Stiftsbreite is ideal for the St. Laurent. A great wine demonstrates greatness at every stage of its development – and the St. Laurent Reserve is no exception. Thanks to a long and gentle maturation period, it is a powerful and extremely harmonious red wine. Magnificent aromas of wild berries, concentrated on the palate and accompanied by a harmonious tannin structure, the St. Laurent Grosse Reserve in all its complexity is already a pleasure to drink.
Collection: What makes our single-vineyard wines stand out is the particular choice of hand-picked grapes. The wine is made from grapes grown in individual vine-yards with a long tradition, and the Klosterneuburg Monastery Wine Estate has been cultivating some of the individual sites for centuries. A highly selective and target-ed harvest ensures the ripest of grapes, while the process of ageing the wines – done partly in small wooden casks – guarantees that they can be stored for several years while maintaining their high quality.
