5th Garden exhibition 2012

»Gardens of the centuries«
7.-10. June 2012, daily 8 am to 6 pm

In the convent garden of the monastery exhibitors, botanical rarities and arrangements will be displayed. Visitors are invited to ask for advice by exhibitors, who are experts in their fields. Information and sales will be provided with regard to topics such as orchids, roses, cacti, herbs, Hildegard von Bingen, Kneipp and more. Furthermore the monastery has revitalized the gardens inside four courtyards. At the garden exhibition these »Gardens of the centuries« will be opened for the first time. The revitalization comprises two courtyards in medieval style (Wassertorhof and Pfistererstiegenhof) as well as a courtyard displaying the renaissance style of garden design (Leopoldihof) and a courtyard representing the Mannerist style of garden design (Feuerbrunnenhof).

These will be the highlights of the exhibition:

Accessibility

Please note that the Leopoldihof and the Feuerbrunnenhof are located at the level of the Stiftsplatz. Therefore these may not be easily accessible for physically challenged guests coming for the Conventgarden (35 meters of difference in level, steep garden path or stairs with more than 70 steps).
